A site that exists is not the same as a site that does anything.
Built2Fit is a Sydney building company doing custom homes, renovations, kitchens and bathrooms. They had a website. It was generic, the services weren't clear, and the projects were hard to look through.
That last part is the one that costs money. A homeowner deciding on a renovation is trying to answer one question: has this builder done a job like mine. If the completed work isn't organised so they can look through it, they can't answer that, and they move on to a builder whose work they can.
The old site listed services. It didn't show a completed project portfolio.
A rebuild focused on making the work browsable.
We rebuilt the site around clearer services and better project presentation. Project imagery was given room, pages were simplified, and the copy was written the way builders actually talk.
The completed work was structured so someone can go through it and find a job that resembles their own.

One came with DA approval, finance approved and structural plans complete, with the Construction Certificate about to go to council. They wanted a fixed price contract for major alterations and additions with a granny flat. That's a homeowner who has already spent months and a fair bit of money before contacting anyone.
Another was buying a property in Barden Ridge and wanted a price on a 36sqm extension and carport enclosure. They'd been recommended, and they used the website form anyway.
A third got in touch about a three bedroom unit in Cronulla. They had found one of Built2Fit's completed projects on the site, recognised a very similar floor plan to their own, and referenced it when they made contact. They had already decided Built2Fit could do the job.
The rest came as full renovation briefs. Bathrooms, kitchens, external render, window replacement, roof repair, converting a room to a garage, alfresco dining. Structural work on stairs and floor plan changes.
These are people planning whole-of-house projects, and they arrive knowing what they want.
